The Book of Acts, written by Luke, is an extension of Luke’s Gospel narrative. It follows the history of the early church in the first century, describing their initial struggles as well as their successes for the kingdom of God. Acts is where we learn about Paul’s missionary journeys throughout the Mediterranean, about the sharing of the gospel with Gentiles, and about some of the persecution the church faces as Christianity spreads.
Using the Bible as the central course of study, Dallas Theological Seminary has been equipping pastors, teachers, missionaries, and scholars for more than 90 years. We believe the Bible is “useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
