DTS Alumni have always multiplied ministry by pouring into others. And after having taken just one course as a DTS Student, you may have more formal training than 90% of the world's pastors. As a Tracks Coach, you’ll walk alongside a learner for a focused season of growth—encouraging, clarifying, and equipping them to apply what they’re studying. We’ll provide training, tools, and a simple framework; you bring your experience and heart for discipleship.

What is the Tracks Program?

A free, six-month teaching program for those looking for deeper study of God and His Word

The Tracks Program is a free, six‑month discipleship and learning journey offered through the DTS Global Institute. Each Track blends three months of guided coursework with three months of one‑on‑one coaching, helping students move from simply consuming content to growing in Christ through personal connection, accountability, and applied learning.

In Every Track:
  • 3 Months of Coursework Students complete DTS free‑course lectures, readings, reflections, and writing assignments—all at their own pace through the Tracks Dashboard.
  • 3 Months of Coaching Students meet six times with a vetted coach (often a DTS alum), receiving guidance, prayer, clarity, and encouragement as they apply what they’ve learned.
The result is a transformative blend of biblical training + personal discipleship, designed for global learners, pastors, and ministry leaders who want to grow deeply—and with support.

Why is coaching so important?

Coaching isn’t an “add‑on.” It’s the engine of the Tracks Program. Through these guided conversations, students clarify learning, confront real-life ministry challenges, and grow in Christlikeness with the support of a trusted mentor. Coaches often report that the experience is just as transformative for them as for their student.

Why should you be a coach?

  • Multiply your DTS legacy. Alumni coaching has helped students move from “watching lectures” to living the learning—with one‑to‑one guidance, prayer, and accountability that accelerates growth.

  • A clear, doable commitment. You’ll meet six times for about an hour over three months, using a flexible coach curriculum and simple session guides.

  • We equip you. Expect an online orientation/training, a Coach Dashboard with curriculum and rubrics, and access to coach FAQ resources and webinar recordings.

  • Meaningful contribution—where you are. Many coaches meet students virtually; local pairings are welcomed when possible.

What do coaches do?

  1. Meet your student for six 1‑hour sessions in the second half of the Track (three‑month window)
  2. Guide discussion around course content, spiritual formation, and the student’s personal goals (tools and a suggested curriculum provided).
  3. Assess students by completing brief session evaluations and grading two short papers with simple pass/fail rubrics.

Who are we looking for?

  • DTS Alumni

who love to disciple and can commit to six structured sessions

  • Current DTS Students

We occasionally invite current students to coach in carefully scoped contexts that broaden their intercultural ministry perspective.

What have coaches said about their experience?

Common themes from our coach interviews include the joy of seeing tangible growth.

Christine

We made some initial personal connections right off the bat… we had so much in common. That set the tone and helped us keep going when tech or life got in the way.

Natacha

I am very grateful for the program—what you’re doing. I don’t have words to express the joy that Emma had… I’m just so grateful… to be a part of that somehow.

Laura

I loved it — loved it more than I thought I would... I loved getting to hear what ministry is like for her… That was fascinating. She’s just a fabulous person.

Donn

The most valuable part for me and I believe for the students was the opportunity for personal interaction and fellowship around the topics designed and the selected Bible texts.

Matt

He is young and very hungry for the things of the Lord. His life encouraged mine. He was very teachable. He said that his relationship with his wife has greatly improved because of some of the things that I said. He also said that his church is in the process of making some improvements in the respect of shepherding because of some of the ideas that were presented.

Randy

We did not use the curriculum for the last 3 session, because he thought it more valuable to get feedback on his 2 outlines and his teaching assignment.
